48 Caliber
The History of 48
The story behind 48caliber is long and frustrating one, from adversity and animosity, to lost members and a ton of alcohol, this is THE HISTORY of 48.
THE LINE THAT CHANGED IT ALL
It all started in Fall 2005 with a line, but not just any line, the very line that started 48caliber. In this line were former band member Adrian Monaco and his fellow classmate Rick Lionetti. The two started humoring each other with their unnecessary banter until Adrian mentioned he was a drummer in the band Relapse and his band was looking for a bass player. Coincidentally, Rick was a bass player and he had just left his band “Final Notice”. After many weeks of trying to set up a jam with Rick, it finally happened, and it was noting that any of them had hoped it would be. To be honest, it didn’t sound to good, there was A LOT of work to be done, but they were all excited of what could be. After jamming for a solid month, Rick, Jeff, Adrian and Bowes had been offered their very first show together at a local bar in the slums of Ajax. They played a mix of covers, and originals that they had written. Jeff had really boring talk in between songs and the boys stood like they were playing in a glass case of emotion. Their friends gave them a lot of support, but the video evidence of that night was conclusive, they needed a lot of work.
